I had actually never been to the cafe before, but a colleague told me about it. We stopped by today for a bite to eat. The staff are professional, friendly and all around great! I grew up on a farm, so this place brought back so many memories and reminds me of more simple times, when there were no strangers and everyone was welcome at the dinner table. Betty is friendly, kind and full of laughter, just like the other staff members. I would recommend checking out this little cafe and just to let you know the food tastes great!

A small funky little diner where the locals hang out. I had the biscuits with gravy, bacon, and eggs. Just what my tummy was asking for!The interior is filled with woody signs, memorabilia, photos of friends, family, and patrons, and even some artwork.A great place to stop for breakfast or lunch.

We had a fantastic lunch at Betty's Cafe this week. It was our first visit. Definitely a unique, one-of-a-kind place for breakfast or lunch. My husband ordered the Fri fish special which was catfish and I had the BBQ sandwich. We enjoyed sitting at their lunch counter. It seats around 23 patrons. The noon hour can be packed. By 12:45, it had slowed down. Check their days and hours before you stop.

A very cozy cafe. There are no tables, but many counter seats. Very friendly folk, with alot of frequent customers. The food was delicious....loved the homemade blackberry jam. Wonderful find in Kingsport.

Don't really need to review. Even the Mayor Honored her,. Been coming here for years one reason I have never reviewed Betty's. THIS IS AS CLOSE TO SOUTERN GRANMA COOKING AS YOU CAN GET. Without having her do it. period. They serve local farm sausage true Gravy, lunch specials etc.. Little tight knit group as well as seating but really is like sitting in your families kitchen..... This is why I give it a perfect score. I mean they even make their own Jelly and Jams... so if you like em try one..

This place is absolutely amazing. I had the biscuits and gravy, sausage, and 2 eggs combo, and let me tell you, it took me back to my days growing up on my grandparent's farm.Back to the days of getting up in the morning, doings farm chores while granny cooked breakfast. Then, heading back into the house and having breakfast before getting on the bus and heading to school. The owner, Betty, is super nice, friendly, and funny. She gives off that traditional southern granny feeling and very much reminds me of my own granny. Most definitely come check this place out, you will fall in love with the good food and good old fashioned southern charm.

We were visiting the area and wanted to find a mom and pop type breakfast restaurant. Betty’s Stockyard Cafe was a perfect choice. All the positive reviews far outweigh the negative comments a few people seem to have. The servers were great. The coffee was great. The biscuits and gravy were great. The plate sized pancakes were great (2 for just 6.99) and both were served warm. The wobbly stools were all part of the country’ish environment and the prices were great. We initially ordered 2 orders of pancakes. The waitress warned us they were big and one order would probably do. It did. When they came out I was wondering if they needed a snow shovel to turn them over. The fresh biscuits and gravy were delicious. I can’t remember the last time I paid only 24 for two full and hearty breakfasts. Wish we had a Betty’s Stockyard cafe near me! I’ll visit again when I am in Kingsport.
